The DEA and the White House have complained previously about the volume of Canadian marijuana (known as "B.C. Bud") entering the U.S. through Washington state. An estimated 880 to 2,200 tons of marijuana are grown in Canada annually, according to a report in Time magazine last year. Police estimate 90 per cent of the crop ends up in the U.S.
White House drug czar John Walters once blamed the high potency of "B.C. Bud" in part for a rise in marijuana-related emergency room incidents.
"Canada is exporting to us the crack of marijuana," Walters said.

They had that quote in an issue of Newsweek, where they covered this serious issue
apparently a 16 year old girl was trafficking about 8 pounds of pot between bc and washington as well when she got caught, and their trying to sentance her to prison till shes 21.
when asked what type of girl she was her principle said he was suprised and the last person he would think to do this
In this day and age, our biggest concern has got to be pot

Yeah, who knows how to further stigmatize a harmless plant better than the American government? I bet they're most pissed about the fact that a ton of American money is being taken out of the economy and rerouted up there. Yea that's a pretty fuckin elaborate tunnel, they should get leniency just for that impressive setup. As for that 90% figure of Canadian bud hitting the states, that seems way too high for the amount of pot Canadians go through, there's no way we're only smoking 10% of our annual crops.

Yeah, it's all over the news eh.
That place is just minutes away from my buddies... that's fricken wild. What's even more wild is the DEA. Damn, do I ever hate the DEA. If they ever want to fix drug problems they have to fire all the fuckers that work for that evil organization, rehash everything, and start spreading knowledge rather than idiotic carnage. Drugs have a bad side, but they're just strait fucking retards.
Sorry for going off on that half-tangent... but yeah, the stupid fuckers will never, EVER eliminate the marijuana trade especially if it stays illegal. Both sides are suffering from this bull.

Well they found one of the many tunnels.  I'm sure it won't slow down much at all really. I don't know what they are talking about when they say highly potent. The shit we get from Canada is mostly shit beasters. Once and a while we used to get some killer dro from up that way but not very often. The good high quality indoor (soil,and hydroponic) as well as high quality outdoor is usually grown locally.

I think most high-quality bud is grown locally (wherever "local" happens to be). Most of the stuff that gets shipped around by the big organized crime guys is all commercial grade - grow as much as they can as fast as they can.

Wow, that is trippy! ..that is a good idea! I wonder how many other tunnels are around??, then they call it crack..please! crack is highly pysically addicting as long as mentally addicting...cannabis is just nice, why do they always put down a good substance like that? I don't get it..

"This is not the marijuana you remember from the sixties" is an angle that the DEA always tries to market to the baby boomers. It works, too. The DEA knows marijuana is relatively harmless, so they associate it with crack and convince the baby boomers that they don't know what marijuana is like anymore.
That's why I scoff when people say "our generation will legalize it". Man, if the baby boomers didn't legalize it, no one will.

Yea and you never know where it truly came from. Dealers for the most part talk out their asses, unless you harvested you can't really say. All I know is I always get the chron from my dealer.
