I did a search and could not find what I wanted. I want to use about a 1/8-1/4 with just one box of brownies. Is this a smart Idea? Also all the brownies need oil and not butter so would sauteing the bud in some olive oil do the same as sauteing it in butter? Thank you in advance. Also how many brownies would you suggest eating for mild effects if it just some mids.

I've tried extaracting in butter/oil and to be honest (Im sure many in the forum will disagree) I do not like that technique. You see THC is very sensitive to heat so although the resulting butter is very strong in potency, you still have to bake the brownies in the oven which means even more heat, brownie batter bakes slightly below the boiling point so more THC is lost. I prefer grinding the bud very fine (using a coffee grinder) and just mixing it into the batter. Or if using a homemade recipe stir it into the melted butter/oil before adding to dry ingredients. Yes you will be eating the pot, but again if you grind it very fine, its hardly noticeable (and less wasteful) and very very potent. and 1/8 done in this manner should be more than enough per recipe.

I can respect that advice, but I've been making brownies with cannabutter or oil for years without a problem. 1/4th to a box of brownies with sauteed nug oil will make some potent, single brownie a person batches.
Eaten THC lasts way longer and is WAY more powerful, IMO.

You can toss in stems, leaves, buds, the works. Heat up the oil, then cook the goods until a little after they brown. If they burn, it's way too hot and is killing the THC.

Heat the oil/MJ mix on warm to low heat. Your extract quality will increase if you simmer out the cannabanoids instead of cooking them out.
1-3 hours of being lightly heated will efficiently suck out all cannabanoids into the oil.
