Growing outside in MILD temps?
    #4432172 - 07/21/05 07:52 AM (12 years, 9 months ago)

Can any of you recommend a strain that will grow in the mid 60's(night) and 70-85(day) There is just no way I'm going to get away with growing in my home(wife/job). I'm really looking to grow outside, I live by a small forest.
Thank you all.
Double J

A lot depends on RH, if you can get close enough to tend-care-water a patch on a daily basis & if you can get a half pick-up truck load of well weathered h/poo & can get a few gallons of wbs/grain spawn colonized - first.

My foaf did a 3 foot wide X 8 ft long x 8 inch deep out-door patch inside 1/2 inch thick exterior plywood bed & in ground about 6 inches X above ground 12 inches with a clear plastic tarp cover over the top - near/west of Portland OR - once (years ago).

Trick was - timing. It's right now - as weather is good. But - you had better get the spawn going - quick.

Foaf used Texas stain.

The "A" strain and South American's do well outside.

and they can handle some added heat as well...80's and 90's.
