Florida Season is here
    #3981600 - 03/28/05 07:26 PM (19 years, 23 days ago)

I went out for my second hunt of the season yesterday. My friends already found a great cube field. I didnt wanna rape theirs so I went off to find a good field of my own last night. The first field, I saw nothing on turds or anything. The second field I found 3 copes after an hour of searching. The third field after getting in swamp water up to my knees and soaking my flashlight was insane. Found about 20 copes and some subbs. Pretty much every turd had lil needleheads that should be mature today or tomorrow. Im definetely going back tomorrow. Ended up only finding like 10 cubes. I will explore more fields and keep u guys posted, ill have pics up asap. If youre in FL the season is here so go out and search for the magic field. I know im still looking and hopefully I will find it soon. Thanks for all the encouragement you guys have attracted me not only to search for actives, but appreciate all mushrooms.

You're not supposed to ask about specific cities or something along those lines, however I found four cubes last week and I live somewhere near where you're talking about...go out and look there's fields everywhere.

Like I said on my first post, there was alot of growth but not quite mature yet. The weather hasnt been cooperating at night so hopefully in the next week we will get back in the 80s and then we will be good.

i thought they grew at night when it hit the 60's? kinda like cold shocking. well, shit, its supposed to be like 80% hum at 60F tonight. could someone clear this up for me?

speaking of in season, found a paneleous subb. growing on a field in C. Florida. hey its my first psychoactive ive ever found. ate it, minor effects.

yeah, in season, but still not sure whether they will be in full bloom. how does this in nature growing work anyway? do they sprout every good night or is it just a once in a while random thing?

I found about four cubes a week ago...humidity was something like 81% and the temperature was around 65 degrees...I scoured a big area though, so that goes to show the nights need to warm up...that's what I don't get, if the day is 85 degrees, why does the night have to drop SO low to 50s and 60s...stupid non-sunlight

The season is definitely beginning. I'm noticing plenty of mature growth in my gathering grounds here in central Florida, mostly just hunting the fence line. The two photographs following are those I was most impressed with, but there are many more:
54 g wet, 3" cap each - 3/31
35 g wet, nearly 5" cap - 3/29.

The local strain is quite impressive mid-May to late-July, and seems to extend its season later into the year and begin earlier. Florida is OK at times.

season is pretty much not here

i wouldnt jump into a field until at least june
which is far away

in the meantime, if you want/need shrooms,
id suggest learning how to grow them

growing is safer than jumping into a field,
especially if your only harvesting a handful of shrooms in an hours time
or even going out there and not scoring anything

season is not so brief when it is here
but seems brief when its not

and its almost always safer to grow
unless you actually have permission to be in a field

if you have permission than you can get away without needing to grow,,
if your a shroom junky and need to have shrooms always that is at least

keep shroomin
GG :mushroom2:

Search on man... my experience has been July- a start, find your fields, august, more and more, and more, and suprisingly the biggest pulls were in late september, contrary to july/ august "peak season" theories. all depends on the weather, location, conditions, etc.

in southwest florida i find so many cow patties with LOTS and LOTS of growth but nothing larger than an inch tall. i've literally found thousands of mycelium growing, but nothing worth keeping yet. i need to find better fields!

I live in Bonita Springs and I am not going near them fields. I currently am in the courts for a bar fight so gotta stay away even though I am sure there is some prime pickings. I am going hunting for shark teeth though, maybe I will find a Megoloden tooth they are worth money.
