the cap i shsaped almost like a raquetball, it almost has the same texture as one as well. when i broke the cap off it looks like this

Without proper info I can only guess Chlorophylum molybdites.

I agree with motaman. The fact that they were found in a grassy area strongly suggests the very nasty, poisonous Chlorophyllum molybdites.

I have seen a burst of them round Houston.
In the fields and under the Banks Rose bush's.
They are poisonous and should be avoided.
