Is the recepie ratio the same if using honey instead of karo? 96cc water and 4cc honey?

I'd bet so. I think the sugars vary, but it would probably work.

Honey is usually about 80-85% sugars so you could add a little more. I prefer to stay the low side of 4% for LC's.
I don't know what % sugars are in karo, probably about the same as honey.
