Keyboard for Geeks - even blind people can use it.

Tired about having those useless letters, numbers and weird characters printed on your keyboard ?
Here's the solution

Shouldn't your keyboard reflect your status as one of the elite? We think so!

So, what's next, blank monitors ? :crazy2:

I use a Dvorak keyboard, which is a different (and better) layout than Qwerty. In a pinch, when I had to use a machine for a long period but wasn't able to rearrange the keys, I've just changed the layout to Dvorak in the software, but left the board physically set up as a Qwerty. This is super fun, because it makes the keyboard completely baffling to everyone but me

Hehehe... when I was in college, one of my roommates had a keyboard that looked like that. He was 'el33t' and painted the keyboard so that nobody could use it but him 'cause they wouldn't know what keys were what... I have been typing with the lights out since I was in sixth grade. Didn't phase me one bit, other than the paint kept flaking off.

hehehe!

i really hate french-language keyboards - while they mostly have the same mapping as an english one, there are a few (and very annoying) differences.

I have always been tempted to ditch Qwerty and try another typing scheme.  There are a number of different arrangements out there, how does this one work out for you?  Do you actually notice an increase in typing speed?  Seems to me that I get by just fine with Qwerty.

Well I guess I will give it a go. It'll take me all day tommorrow probably to learn where the letters are. I have the different typing styles set to hot-keys, so I can change on the fly.

> Do you actually notice an increase in typing speed?

It was a pain for me to learn, but once learned it is easier to type. The problem is that nobody else uses anything but qwerty, so I have to constantly switch back and forth depending upon what machine I am sitting at. If is extremly funny to watch somebody sit down at my machine and try to type... my keyboard layout is qwerty even though the OS interprets the keys as dvorak.

A long time ago I created a keyboard layout for programming in C. I modified the shell I was using to record what single, two, and three key sequences were used the most while writing programs. I then constructed a keyboard layout spreading out the most frequently used keys and pairings towards the easier to reach keys on the keyboard. It was odd having something like a curly brace be a primary key rather than a shifted key while some letters ended up being in hard to reach places (such as above the enter key). I played with the project for a summer, but never really got good at using the layout.

My bro painted his keyboard all grey.
Did this casue he set the keys up in a different spot.
supposebly theres a layout people use that put comonly use letters close together.
in order of commonly used words or watever, it like trippled poeples typing speeds
or some shit.
not for me though i like seeing my keys and as u can tell i cant even type right as is.

OMG I want one. I wonder what kind of software setup it takes to upload all those logos into the keyboard though. It would be a drag if it was Windows-only.

It?s in the initial stage of production.

We hope it will be released in 2006.

It will cost less than a good mobile phone.

It will be real.

It will be OS-independent (at least it?s going to be able to work in some default state with any OS).

It will support any language or layout.

Moscow is the capital of Russia.

Each key could be programmed to produce any sequence.

It will be an open-source keyboard, SDK will be available.

Some day it will be split (and made ?ergonomic?).

It will most likely use the OLED technology (e-paper is sooo slow).

Our studio is located two blocks from the Kremlin.

It will feature a key-saver.

Keys could be animated when needed.

It has a numeric keypad because we love it.

There?s no snow in Moscow in summer.

It will be available worldwide (why not?)

OEM is possible (why not?)
