no matter what my friend does 3 days after casing it starts pinning with out even colinizing the strait verm casing. the verm is pretty fine inch layer on bottom and top both wet. in a perlite humidified terrenium using a bubbler for o2. he keeps it in the dark with no air exchange and it still pins damn it what is wrong. he gets like 6 dried grams and thats it. any advice. thanx in advance

try covering the casing and not allowing gas exchange until the mycelium grows through the top layer. co2 build up is a signal to the mycelium to stay in grow mode rather than switching to fruiting. also keep them in a dark place.

my mouse suggests that after casing, put the casing in the terrarium without the humidification. cover the casing with syran wrap and something to keep out light; you kinda want the mycelium to think that it's still in the jars so that it will continue to grow throughout the casing. you really only need to leave it like that for a few (2-3) days. it will grow thoughout the casing very quickly like this because of all the extra oxygen that it hasn't had in the jars.
