The link works for me...the first post is this:

Workman said: I found this Russian site with some interesting Psilocybe documents that are worth a look. I have taken the liberty of translating this one using babelfish into English. Keep in mind that its not a perfect translation but its still pretty good. The cubensis on sawdust tek should help debunk the popular idea that cubes can't grow on wood.
Cubensis on Sawdust Tek, translated from Russian
Cubensis on Sawdust, original Russian
Thats all I got into it, but so you can check out the real links..
And yes, the part of the cake that wasnt wood is enough to fruit, and possibly like that, the wood may have added a little something, still well within the parameters though. I do believe the wood helped in forming a large network though, and to hold in water. But I think using verm would have had the same effect, although verm doesnt add nutes.
Thanks for the print offer, I would like one to see how it performs, but I dont have time to play with more cubie strains, got my fill of them, and a number of kick ass ones. Still probably 2 dozen syringes and prints I havent tried out either...and we wont even get into other species..thanks anyway though.
If you want some more conclusive results, try fruiting another strain the same way, and try taking the same strain, same directions, but leave out the wood, and see if everything else fruits as well. Maybe try adding verm instead of wood too.. put that together with this and you'll have more info on exactly what made everything successful. That is if you feel like experimenting..

exactly... thats what im talking about. those two links do not work.
and for more experimentation... nope, i was intending to quit growing actives and focus on medicinals. this guestappearance by the B+ was completely unintended (actually im a bit miffed, i was expecting to harvest my first shiitake by now).

So, what's this come down to? A full 15% of your substrate is standard cubensis substrate. That seems like plenty of a boost to me to allow for decent fruiting even without much nutrition coming from the wood. And the wood? Birch is a very easily digested wood, which I've seen other cube strains colonize without supplement.
I would like to see it done without hay.
