what is coir?

Yeah... that's right, I don't know what "coir" means. I have a CAE diploma and I looked it in the dictionary (more actually) but I can't figure out what exaztly it means. I can only guess from what I have read about mushroom culivation but I'm not sure. Sooo... I would be very grateful if anybody enlightens me...

No offence but have ya ever heard of Google? Thats the first place to go to get most questions answered. Sure we could tell you but that won't really help you, we can give you a fish or teach you to fish what would you rather have? Good Luck and Welcome

No offence taken but the problem was not that I didn't know something about it but that I actually didn't know what thw word meant. I did search it in dictionaries.
So coconut coir is that white shit with a terrible taste they sometimes put on cakes?

Shredded coconut fiber, as in the fiber of coconuts, your first hint is that it's brown, their by deducing what else on a coconut is brown, humm, well it's that fiber, it has nothing to do with the "meat" of the coconut Take Care
