Yeah... that's right, I don't know what "coir" means. I have a CAE diploma and I looked it in the dictionary (more actually) but I can't figure out what exaztly it means. I can only guess from what I have read about mushroom culivation but I'm not sure.
Sooo...  I would be very grateful if anybody enlightens me...

No offence taken but the problem was not that I didn't know something about it but that I actually didn't know what thw word meant. I did search it in dictionaries.
So coconut coir is that white shit with a terrible taste they sometimes put on cakes?

Shredded coconut fiber, as in the fiber of coconuts, your first hint is that it's brown, their by deducing what else on a coconut is brown, humm, well it's that fiber, it has nothing to do with the "meat" of the coconut
