pereskiopsis Q?

here is a pic of my pereskiopsis that i started rooting about a week ago, i think they are doing well, but it looks like roots are shooting out of some of the areoles that are well above the ground level....just take a look......




is it going to be okay?  should i lower the humidity? is it doing well?

ps...i have like 5 new lopho seedlings i want to show, but i cant get my damn camera to get a good pic of them.... :mad:

It looks ok!
Adding some soil is a good idea.
I would prefer a plastic pot but it should be no problem.
Transplanting is not suggesting for now!

Pereskiopsis is an easy plant to propagate and root.
If the above ground part has roots , there are roots underground for sure!

The way I clone them : (with almost 100% success)

*5 days indoors with high humidity and no direct sun
*then another week at the same position with normal humidity

after that you can treat them as a normal plant.

Its amazing that pereskiopsis can root from an 1cm clone!
I always root the remaining pereskiosis of the grafting!

thanks guys, i think i will just add some more soil, but one thing you dont see in the pic is there is another root coming out of one of the areoles that still has it's 'leaf'.....so i dont want to bury it that deep, it is like 1.5" up.....

Even if you leave it as it is , its ok.
Pereskiopsis is not that demanding.

Just adapt it to normal klima
