Remote viewing does not exist. period. I don't care what proof anyone has, I'm not interested, it's simple logic:
1.remote viewing does not exist. 2. someone has proof ------ conclusion: duuh!! the proof is not valid

Why do people instantly dismiss things they don't/can't understand?

Yes, yes, and somehow, the North Koreans bushwhacked us by developing nukes that we couldn't 'remote view' even as they cashed the checks we sent them for years to prevent it... and Osama just killed dozens in Europe while using advanced anti-remote viewing powers to elude us.

what are you suggesting Diploid, that army has a bunch of remote viewers working 24/7 to see everything that is going on in the world? Isn't that exageration?

You forgot that they allowed it to happen.
Terror keeps the people oppressed, which, is exactly what the government utilises to maintain power and substantiate war.
Oh if only everything was black and white then Diploids mindset would be useful!

There appears to be no empirical evidence to support Remote Viewing.

How about just the important military threats, like North Korea?
Major what's his name, like all who came before him, talks a big show, but does not demonstrate what he talks about.
While I'm at it, I'll point out that Remote Viewing has never been demonstrated in controlled conditions (read: you can't cheat), and the James Randi million dollars up for grabs by the first person to demonstrate it has been on the table for 40 years and counting.

Hmmm... sounds interesting....
As a seeker of the Truth, even when it proves me wrong, I looked into dano's authority on Remote Viewing, Major General Edmund R Thompson. Here's an excerpt:
http://www.remoteviewer.org/remoteviewing/truth-about-david-morehouse.htm
As his bizarre behavior expanded, Morehouse found himself charged by the military with adultery, sodomy, communicating a threat, conduct unbecoming an officer, and larceny. (To see more on this, read the quotes by Col. John Alexander below.)
Morehouse then checked himself in to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., claiming that he was talking to angels.
As the trial unfolded, Morehouse's lawyers decided to use the remote viewing program to embarrass the Army, which caved in, and resulted in Morehouse being less than honorably discharged.

Why would anyone with those abilities need Randi's million?
Randi's still a snake oil salesman, he just eats other snake oil salemen.
Of course it's also possible that psychics are like people that can't pee when someones watching.

*yawn*
Sorry, it's just that I've heard this excuse more times than I can count, so it puts me to sleep.
They don't want money and don't care to demonstrate their powers to the Randi foundation, but they work for the government's secret remote viewing program. Alright...

I'm not sayin that I think they exist, but if you had those abilities do you really think you would need Randi's million. What could you not know? As with any of the psychic abilities, why would they need Randi's million?
I don't know and don't care if the government uses remote veiwers and could care less if they exist or not.
Randi is still a sham. He knows that even if someone that has those abilities exists he will not have to pay, because that someone should know his anonymity is worth more than Randi's million. There's always the chance that Randi will find a stupid psychic.
When skeptics ask people to produce for money it is misleading. They love to hear that it wouldn't be ethical to do it for money. If your a psychic and doing it for money, wouldn't a million dollars seem like chump change?

To be honest, I have seen little evidence to support remote viewing.
Its controversial.
Hence, me saying 'sounds interesting'.
There are a few RM TEKS out there on the net. I tried but had no luck.
I believe that super-human powers CERTAINLY exist but that we are not able to control them by a direct concious act.
There could be potential for hypnotic states though!

I like how instead of providing actual evidence, they just provide a bunch of quotes from people who we're supposed to find trustworthy or something.
"Evidence? Who needs it! Jimmy Carter believes it!"
Just because someone who is supposedly intelligent can be convinced of something doesn't mean there's good evidence.

"they just provide a bunch of quotes from people who we're supposed to find trustworthy or something."
This happens every day in the media. When a scientific breakthrough occurs, all we have to go on is quotes from the people involved. We're expected to believe what they say without proof, but the only way to really know for sure is to be involved or see the evidence first-hand. Something to think about.

Randi targets conmen, fakes, ect. Why would a true psychic have to advertise they're ability? I'm not saying psychics exist. I'm sayin Randi ain't going to catch one with what he's using as bait.
What kind of bait would you use to catch a psychic?
What could you offer someone that had precognition that they could not aquire for themselves? Someone with that ability would not need to con people for a living, unless they were very stupid. Randi knows this, he is a Snakeoil salesman. Any of the abilities he exposes as fakes would ensure someone a good living with a minimum of effort.
The argument that since Randi hasn't had to pay out on his offer does not prove that there are no psychics. Not even close. It proves that there are a lot of people claiming to be psychic who aren't.
