OLOLIUQUI plants thrive, but don't flower what gives? Can Anyone Help?
    #4414392 - 07/17/05 12:39 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

Hi, I've been very successful with most of my plants thus far. I have Daturas and Brugmansias that are thriving as well as a perucian torch and cacti and a bundleflower thats looks great. However, I'm having trouble with my Ololiuqui (Rivea Corymbosa) It grows like crazy and its is vine so I have trouble keeping up with it giving it stuff to grow on, but it won't flower. I understand that this is a common problem. Has anyone out there had success with this? If so, what were your methods? Do you have any suggestions? My plants is in a large pot outdoors getting full sun-in a sub-tropical climate. Thanx a bunch. Keep on Truckin'

That's just the way it is. I have the same situation with that one plus my kratom, caapi and a few others. None of my cactuses have bloomed either though they bloom for some people. I got hbwr to bloom but it never set seed. Some plants just need certain exact conditions to reproduce.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835)
