moistening colonizing cakes

my cakes apear dry and after 2 weeks they show only 40% colonization. is there any way to rehydrate them like injecting them with water? temp is at 70-75 constantly and they are amazonian spores. they have three small inoculation holes on the lids.

I tried that once, didn't work, what is the RH in your colonizing area? too low perhaps...?
