how long would you say a spore syringe should last (without significant decrease in viability) if kept in ideal conditions (wrapped in foil, in the fridge)?

the reason i asked anno, is that i ordered a syringe from him that was received two months ago. i kept it as described and when i used toi to innoc, the germination has been extremely poor.

some innoc points not germinated. i was shaking the syringe well between each shot, and used 10cc for 6 jars (which is quite a lot of spore water per jar). the syringe was definitely clearer than the EQ one that i ordered with it, so i was just wondering if maybe the syringe was older than i thought, or could there be absolutely anything else that could have caused these jars to get such bad germination? they were completely cooled when i innoc'd also.

The syringe has a date on it when it was made.
I successfully inoculated cakes with 2 years okd syringes allready. Not all strains germinate at the same rate, also much is dependant on the substrate and the temperature.

the syringe was dated august, the strain is golden teacher and the temp of incubation is 85F.

some of the innoc points are totally uncolonised.
