Pressure Cooker Questions

I got a Prestiege model PC this weekend from soembody in my family. I'm pretty sure it is a 6 quart model. It is in good condition. The thing that goes on the top has three settings. The smallest is L, the next one is M and the final (biggest) one is H. I'm guessing (not sure) that all three together give me 15PSI. With the largest taken off its 10PSI and the smallest only is 5PSI. Am I right? Also, if I microwaved a syringe for 5 min on high and it caused the plastic to bubble outwards (too much heat?) am I safe to autoclave them for 20 min at 15PSI?

I pressure cook syringes in the PC for 30 min at 15 psi without problems.
