Dead Myco-bag.

Well as I said in an earlier thread I had a bag of Amazonian , it was doing really good and even almost got 100% colonized. Well as of now it was crumbled twice&I think it's dead. It looks really dry and all the myc you can see it just little paste like things on some seeds. Looks grim in there, if any one knows what I am talking about. like not healthy I would say. I think it's just SUPER dry.Should I try injecting more spores in there to put some more water in there?

try compacting the grain in the bag with your hands then cut the bag take out the brick and dunk it in water for 12-24 hours then you can put it into a fruiting chamber or just back in the bag

the myc is no longer on the grain. The myc is now little balls of white here and there. It must be only 20% colonized.

then cut the bag open just above the grain put it into a FC and heavily mist it for a few days until the grain looks wet again

This is why I stopped shaking alltogether.. My best solution to this problem has been spawning the grain to poo, preferably outdoors..

I hope, but I don't think so. It's been that way a really long time, it looks REALLY dry, I wish I had a digi cam. I won't be mad if the 1/2 pf tek jars work. I HOPE they do, that will be the way I do things, I don't like bags any more. 1.5 pounds of sub trait is a lot and takes way to long to colonize!

I have the same exact problem. Only it's been about a month, 75-85 degrees, and 3cc's. It's been like this for about a week or so. What's the best way to get the bag to colonize once again, the misting in a fruiting chamber, the dunking in water, or just leave it alone?

break it up a little and shake it around, then leave it alone for a bit
