Athletes foot....
    #4406821 - 07/15/05 04:52 AM (11 years, 4 months ago)

1 in 10 people have it. I have it, and I like it. Why? it isnt because of my love of fungus, but because of a certain instant gratification caused by relief of prolonged mild discomfort.
I have tinactin or whatever athletes foot cure, but i refuse to use it. I get too much enjoyment from itching my toes after a long day.

It is like tantric itching. How glorious is the sun after a week straight of torrential downpour? how great is the rain after a week of 106 degree weather? too much comfort IMO, makes for a dull existence. ONly after we have been in the dredges of a constant stream of "ill" experience, does the little insignificant things astoud and gratify us.
Some may say that this feeling can be experienced without depriving yourself, but i bet these people have ever felt the wonderous sensation of finally itching your athlete foot infested toes.

Back in early highschool, me and this kid bet each other who could have dreadlocks longer. We were into reggae at the time, well mostly just toots and the maytals, anyways... We each tried to get them, and eventually got what could reasonably be called dreadlocks. The problem was we didnt wash our hair very often, as we didnt quite make them tight enough, so we thought if we washed our hair often, it would get rid of them. Of course it probably would have made them better, by tangling the hair, but whatever. The point is, after like 2 months, I had washed my hair only a few times, and it was literally gross. My friend put his hand in his hair, and his scalp started to bleed, so he shaved his head, washed his head and looked at it his scalp. There were pimples, and some cuts, on his head. So after hearing this, I immediately cut them off, trying to preserve some of my hair. When I got them untangled, I for the first time could scratch my scalp. The feeling of rubbing a good shampoo, and by good I mean ruthless, not some designer crap, but some acidic shit that will fuck some shit up, through my hair, is still one of my favorite feelings. It was so amazing, I have fantasies about that feeling.

speaking of...

I have atheles foot in the metaphorical sense of the word, and its psychological.

I can find peace and joy no matter what, exept for one thing which screws me up every time, and I just found out today that i still have this damn weakness.

The early stages of Foot fungus is some what enjoyable.

When your foot fungus grows to the point of having bloody toes, cracked, bloody and burning feet......
you will beg for some Lotrimin or Tinactin

It then becomes like acid burning your feet, not the gentle tickling you're getting now.

Carefully scraped off athletes foot makes a wonderful condiment. Cheeseburgers and hotdogs will never bee the same.

Hey, to you Athlete's Foot is not a disease then.

woah I have it too, and don't mind it at all

speaking of discomforts causing comforts (through relief)... I currently work 10 or 11 hours a day controlling traffic for a construction company. the pays really good, but... well... the work sucks. you stand the entire time, in the exact same spot, turning a sign, in tremendously hot weather, wearing pants, a vest, a hardhat... with little to no breaks. so as you can imagine, you get incredibly sore from the 10+ hours of standing, and incredibly hot (+ dehydrated) from the heat. not only that, you have no idea how slow time goes in these conditions...

but let me tell you, when your shift is over, oh my god! what relief! sitting is almost orgasmic. and getting into an air conditioned house is like a drug in itself. its almost worth the extreme discomfort purely for finishing at the end of the day. but of course, what makes it actually worth it is the good pay (12.50 an hour, 50+ hours a week)

sorry for boring y'all

STINKFOOT LYRICS

- Frank zappa

In the dark
Where all the fevers grow
Under the water
Where the shark bubbles blow
In the mornin?
By yer radio
Do the walls close in t?suffocate ya
You ain?t got no friends . . .
An? all the others: they hate ya
Does the life you been leadin? gotta go?
Well, let me straighten you out
About a little russian restaurant I know . . .
(get yer shoes ?n socks on people, it?s right aroun? the corner!)

Out through the night
An? the whisperin? breezes
To the place where they keep
The imaginary diseases

(Repeat)
Now scientists call this disease bromidrosis
(that?s right!)
And well they should
Even napoleon knows that
But us regular folks
Who might wear a tennis shoe
Or an occasional python boot
Know this exquisite little inconvenience by the name of:
Stink foot

Y?know, my python boot is too tight
I couldn?t get it off last night
A week went by, an? now it?s july
I finally got it off
An? my girl-friend cry
You got stink foot! stink foot, darlin?
Your stink foot puts a hurt on my nose!
Stink foot! stink foot! I ain?t lyin?,
Can you rinse it off, d?you suppose?

Here fido . . . fido . . .
Here fido . . . bring the slippers little puppy
Yes, that?s a good dog! yes!
Arf, arf, arf!
[crash-crumble-bump-bump-bump]
Sick . . .

Anxiety is what you make it.

Man I have it bad already! Its under my nails and it turned them into a wood like substance. Its weird to see you nail flake away like wood and the skin underneath it is extremely damaged aswell. (EFF you High-school Football for having me contract this shit!)

You bumped a seven year old thread to talk about toe fungus?

Well, I don't have it but I can identify with the OP. One of the best parts of opiate use is the body itching that goes with it and the delicious amazingly pleasurable satisfaction of scratching it. I'm such a freak that I have a dedicated soft-bristle hair brush I keep handy to scratch the opi-itch without damaging my skin. It's the closest thing to heaven on Earth, especially if you wait and endure it for a while before going to town with the brush.

Aaaahhhhh. Scratch!

4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.
