Tropicaire Exchanger and Humidifier

My jars are incubating right now. I have my fruiting chamber hooked up to the tropicaire humidifier and air exchanger with a dual air pump. See here for details on this device.
Anyways I was skeptical about using one of these to automate my system but to my suprise it gives off 97-100% humidity! (58 qt tub)This thing is supposed to provide fresh air exchange as well, but obviously its hard to tell how much air exchange its truly providing.
Has anyone had experience with these devices? Anyone know if they do well when it comes to automatic fresh air exchange? My plan is to steer away from fanning, messy wet perlite, and misting. Thanks

That thing is about the same as an air stone in a jar of water - driven by a fish tank air pump. Without doubt - It helps raise & maintain rh. If the air pump is outside the tub, it will pump in a small degree of fresh air.

Thanks for the quick response. Do you think the device is an ample substitute for fanning?

Also. The tub is closed, so should there be holes poked into it to allow air to get out while the fresh air comes in?

If the pump is large enough ----> YES.
I would suggest a few polyfil plugged holes in the tub (down low), to allow for some gas exchange. If the lid is air tight - that will allow for some degree of positive pressure air exchange.

iv got two 25 gallon tubs and two tropicaires I'm using the general hydroponics air pump rated at 350 gallons per hour the tropicaires work great i still fan the tubs out and give them a mist every day, my humidity is over 95% all the time the lid has weather striping around it for a air tight seal and i put two 1/4" holes in the lid for air exchange.
