Pre-made jar problem

I bought some pre-made jars that were already sterile and only needed to be inoculated. I bought the spores from a reputable place listed on this website. I kept the syringe in the fridge until I was ready. I inoculated the jars with 2ccs 12 days ago. I keep the temp at a constant 75-85 degrees(F). There has been absolutely no growth so 4 days ago I inoculated with 1cc again, just in case. There is still no growth, NOTHING! Not good or even bad growth. Is there any other thing that I can try? Any suggestions at all will be appreciated. Is it possibly the jars are too dry?

Yep, and possible their to wet. Also possible the syringe became unviable for some reason..happens sometimes, especially during shipping. I'd think its more likly the syringe since you arent seeing ANYTHING. Can you get pics? I'd contact both vendors..

I bought a couple of jars of prepared WBS about 2 months ago, I inoculated both at the same time. One of them never did anything as far as colonizing goes, but one did develop and orange slime in the bottom of the jar. I contacted the seller and they replaced both jars. I inoculated those new jars and both of them were fine. In the mean time I bought a pressure cooker for 35 bucks on Ebay and made my own jars of BRF, they are by far better. The cakes from my PC are fruiting now and the ones that I bought are still colonizing, it's been at least 3 weeks. My advice is to make your own jars, it's a lot cheaper in the long run.
Good Luck

If you have any spore solution left, try making a LC. This should help you determine the root of your problems.

I bought my pressure at K-mart for $20 with a 3 year warranty.. it holds three 1/2 pint wide mouths, or 4 1/2 pint regular tapered. with a little dedication and times it is easy and cheap to make your own jars. i set 3 hours to the side, to cook up a dozen jars, every couple of days..

I had this problem with a personaly made BRF jar. Funny thing is I tossed it outside in the flowerbed and it partialy started to colonize along with a nasty brownish black mold. Should not have added that extra eight of a cup of water.

3 Weeks would be incredibly slow...should be 2 weeks or less with a PF Cake..10 days or less with a quart of grain.
