I have no clue about this one.
And a shot of them nice White Gills And next we have what I like to call it a Cube FOE!
A lot of the new hunters mistake this for a Cube. It spoors Blue/Dark Purple,It has membrane,The spoors will give it a blue/purple ring. No bruising,NO EAT!
OK then we have a nice Spider. They are ever where you want to be. Low in the trees above the pattys. This spider is "NO CRAP" 3x4 inch's! They don't bite but they do stress you out.
Then we have a Crawdad Tube. Trust me he's in there I wont bother him!
You know your in Texas when you see a DILLO!
Then we have a nice Cube Pup.. I will keep my eye on this one and eat it when it gets of age! Thanks for looking!

Thanks for takin' me on a hunt basically, that's what you did. The cube foe may be Agaricus campestris, I'm not 100%, there are a lot of agaricus. The edibility ranges from choice to poisonous. (the mushrooms you buy at the store are Agaricus bisporus) More examining is necessary for ID. These have my attention. Last week, when I was still 50 feet or so away, I thought I had spotted a family of cubes. When I spot them for sure, I will hunt around them and up to them till I arrive, when I did, that's what I found Thought it was gonna be a nice haul, nossuh! Nice pics, thanks for sharing!
O yeah, Steve, when I see spiders like that, I do bruise them 'round here tho, I see a lot of black widows and brown recluse. Do be careful, all spiders bite, and spider bites are not fun. It's one of the things I fear most in the field.
peace

I'm so glad we don't have those types of spiders around here. I can imagine walking face forward into such a web...
This is what i'd probably do..

Beautiful pictures, awesome spider. I am not sure what a crawdad tube is, but life is for learning. What is the latin name for the cube lookalike, BTW? Wallace

the webs those spiders (we call them banana spiders, but they're something else) make are extremely strong, I've seen webs that are 20+feet wide. it sucks so much to run into one... usually as you frantically try to get the webbings off of you, you wonder where the spider is, and it's usually in your hair.
those spiders are thoroughly startling

haha exactly what i was gonna say i hit one of their webs when i was on my atv and it pulled me back a bit and left a ring on my neck and ive seen and had a lot of banana spiders on me but the one that made that web must have been a record size it was scary and there was smaller ones all around it with webs, damn did i have chills. oh and mind of souljah i dont think those are active i think they are called something artillium.
