It's good. You'll like it, I'd guess.
Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72 is pretty good.
The Great Shark Hunt is okay...I think that's a collection of works.
Hell's Angels if you haven't.
Of course, Fear and Loathing.
Generation of Swine is kind of interesting, him railing against Reagan and repeating, "Many heads will roll...." from his columns.

definitely a good read. There is was supposed to be a film adaptation coming out with Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro. Don't know if thats still going through though.

Do you have a big pressure cooker? I used to have an 8 qt. one, and it would take like 12 hours of cooking to get everything ready. Now I have a 45 quart cooker, and in two runs I can sterilize everything.
I can't wait to get my Kitty.... it'll be a few weeks. They were just born.
Maybe this toilet incident will learn you that your "Oat Bran Burrito" diet was a terrible idea.

GODDAMMIT. It was nothing to do with my poos! 'Twas facial tissue used in lieu of the NON-EXISTENT toilet silk. So, we had a huge clog-up and now. And now. NOW!? NEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!
You should post pics of your kitty. If you need a hook-up, I have access to natural kittens about 3 times a year. They're absolutely pure. And uber cute.

And no, I don't have a huge pressure cooker. I think mine's like 21 quart or so? Dunno. I can fit 7 quart jars in it. AND GODDAMN IF THE FUCKING OYSTER CULTURES DIDN'T TAKE TO A SINGLE ONE, TWICE THROUGH. 
I'm REALLY fucking pissed about that shit. Now I have to see if things go for the other species. Gawdamn. I was totally looking forward to oyster mushie cooking.

I was at a gas station near my apt. today, and noticed that behind the counter, in full view, are nudie mags. And not Playboy and Penthouse, but the kind with full-out tits on the cover and names like "Top Heavy". It was hard not to stare as I paid for my coffee filters.

ha - this thread got a bit derailed!
i liked the rum diary a lot... used to have a copy of it, but some damn belgian "borrowed" it and moved back to belgium without giving it back to me...oh well, i had read it a few times at that point, so it was fine by me.
my favourite hst book... hmmm fear and loathing on the campaign trail 72 is great if you are a politics junkie. hells angels is just freaking hard core. of course, f&lilv is magic. but Fear and Loathing in America : The Brutal Odyssey of an Outlaw Journalist is probably my favourite - it's a collection of letters covering the 'middle period' of his life - for example, his campaign for sherrif of aspen is in there. highly recommended.

The RUm Diary and Campaign trail both sucked in my opinion. Kingdom of fear was good, hey rube was good... The Gonzo Papers are good (Three books) and the Gonzo letters were less entertaining.
