When To Dunk?

I have 8 jars each of GT, PAL, and S.AM that I just knocked up and want to case them. But should I dunk them before I break them up for casing or dunk them after I case them. And if the latter, do I dunk before of after the casing is fully colonized?

You will get mixed opinions on this. Some peeps do while others don't when casing cakes. You can dunk your casing after flushes. Not as long as cakes though. I dunk my casings for a couple hours.

humm... i think you could dunk whenever, but remember more the sruface area the more water will be absorbed. by saying that you could hypothetically dunk for a shorter amount of time when the cakes are broken up then if they were whole.

what do you think would be easier to work with? wet chunks or a wet cake?
