Thompson debuted in Rolling Stone with an article describing his 1970 bid for sheriff of Pitkin County, Colorado on the "Freak Power" ticket. Thompson narrowly lost the election, although he ran on a platform promoting decriminalization of drugs and the sale thereof, tearing up the streets and turning them into bike paths, and renaming Aspen, Colorado to "Fat City", amongst other things. The incumbent Republican sheriff whom he ran against had a crew cut, prompting Thompson to shave his head bald and refer to his opposition as "my long-haired opponent."

Wow, glad to see so many HST supporters, I expected to see this thread dead when I came back..
Yeah, I didn't think Hunter would of been that interested in the story until I skimmed through the video.
They try to link a plain crash that had some guy and his 8 year old son in it, to the pedophile conspiracy. (AKA, they killed the man because he knew something, with the boy in the plane)
I can see HST trying to cover the truth about an 8 year olds death related to some big power hungry conspiracy involving child killing hire-ups in the government...He was a true American after all.

Well I am from Omaha and back in the late eighties, early nineties there was a scandal with some kids from boys town. It involved a lot of higher up types. These kids being used for sex parties for senators and the like. They'd string the kids out on heroin and would sexual, mentally, and physically abuse them. Mostly boys. But now it has been swept completely under the rug and nobody talks about. I totally believe that there is a huge child sex ring going. We as a mass majority just don't want to open our eyes to it because it is a horrid thought of kids being abused. We are much happier being blind. And manipulated by TV.
And I total believe that Hunter Thompson didn't kill himself. He just doesn't strike me as the type. Why would he decided to do it while talking on the phone with his wife, while his son was home. Not only that, the only gun that Hunter kept was fully loaded with an extra bullet in the chamber. What, did he magically reload after pulling the trigger?
Hunter S. Thompson was a free thinker who stumble upon some serious s@*% and wanted to get it out there for other people to see. Free thinkers never come out alive.
