Conventional dehydrators with no temp setting don't seem to fare too poorly either. I just recieved some compliments on shrooms that sat on an old dehydrator at 140-150F for a few days, and apparently really came through potencty wise.
American Harvest Snackmaster is a future buy though, that's for sure.

I also have no temp setting and have not found the higher heat of 140-150 probably, maybe a bit more, to do any noticable harm. I do stack a few trays from the bottom empty, thats about it. A timer can be used to help control how hot the shrooms got.

**poof** gotta bring this back to life.
I used the search but couldn't find a definitive answer. I just got the 450w American harvest express and it dries things FAST. I'm concerned about the amount of heat though. It does feel pretty hot And so do the shrooms when drying. Also When they're done they take on more of a darker color than regular fan dried ones. Has there been a temperature measurement on this model And am I still in the clear?

It's all about that Oster from Wally World for 40 bucks man. Mine tend to darken a bit as well but I just assumed that being the wrinkled skin.

I already bought the nesco. Saw good reviews all over the forum. Not a ton of info on my model though. Anyone else?

Hahaha yes it is an old ass thread. I didn't want to waste forum space though so i figured I would poke this one with a stick.
This dehydrator has no temp setting. Would sticking a meat thermometer in there work? I just need a temp reading.
