That is a beautiful place! I've been there myself, so thanks for the pics. :laugh: I don't think I've ever seen a lake that blue before....

Yeah, it's super deep and is fairly well protected from pollutants. Boats with gas engines can't go on it. It is the crater of a volcano that exploded a very, very, very long time ago. I bet it was a big boom if all that was left was a crater that big.

not only is it super deep, it's the deepest lake in North America!!

aw yes, crater lake. i went there, it was to cold to swim when i went there, but it was fun to go out and fish in the dead middle of it (or close to it)
