 Shrooms arent growing. Uht oh.

I know patience is a virtue, but I am getting a bit worried. I haven't seen ANY growth in at least 3 days of my shrooms. They are cased in 60/40 with WBS substrate. It is GT strain and so far has done well (This is my first flush). My casing layer is not very even, but I chalk that up to this being my first attempt. I am fanning at least 6 times a day and they are getting 10 or so hours of light a day. What do you think I should do? I will post pics if that will help, but the shrooms that were growing still seem fine. Any input would be great. Thanks!

Wait shrooms are growing and havnt grown in 3 days? Got any pics? I thought they werent pinning yet and were fruited 3 days ago. How long have they been in the fruiting chamber then? Temps arent high and dont fluctuate and the shrooms look healthy but are just growing slow, then dont worry..if they grew and then growth slowed and/or halted, then you may have a problem. Growth is exponetial however, the bigger the shrooms get the faster they grow, so when pins show, it take longer for them to grow the first half, then to grow the last half and mature..by alot. If they are just very tiny pins and havnt changed much, then they are probably just growing slowly. That may be a problem, or they may speed up.

Or it might be a contam, but only three days I wouldn't worry about that yet.

Yup, they are already kinda grown, but now they have stopped. As you can see, they look pretty healthy but there has been no growth in the last 3 or so days. They have been fruiting for about 2 weeks. I have already picked 2.5 grams (dried) so the growth has been happening fine so far. I keep the temps around the 70's but sometimes it goes a tiny bit higher then it should.

They're growing slowly because they're drying out...notice all that space along the edges of the casing where it shrunk away? All thats lost water...when cracks like that develop its good to fill them in with moist casing mix or verm, to stop the shrinking and stop them from drying out. Once the sides are exposed to the air the casing dries much quicker resulting in more shrinking and more drying. I'd probably squirt like 10cc's of distilled water (with maybe a cc of hydrogen peroxide) in the bottom of the container, for a little water..or slowly add water until the substrate doesnt suck any up..it will take a very small amount only I'm sure. Just add the water to the crack by the side so it absorbs from the bottom. Then from there fill in the sides with moist verm or casing mix. It may be to late for this flush..if they do continue to not grow and abort (start bluing and withering a bit) then harvest, dunk the casing, and try again for the next flush.

That size & in 3 days, caps should have opened & spewed spores. Once mature, but veil unbroken, mine open in a matter of 5 to 8 hours. Yours are STALLED.
Something is wrong. Either some enviromental shock occurred, or moisture level is way low, or combo of both.

Personally, I have had HUGE success dunking my casings, I just fill the baking pans with cold water, let them soak for about an hour, and then drain all the excess water out.. And patch the receding edges with wet verm

I agree...but you dont want to dunk with shrooms on it which is why for now I'd try to add a little that it will soak up and get those fruits to try and mature..then dunk it after they're harvested, whether they mature or not.

For sure.. I do it after each flush, and I also pick off all the tiny aborts, I use tweezers on the ones I can't grab with my fingers..

how do you get ALL of the excess out after dunking? your casing doesnt cruble and fall when you tip it over to dump it out? and also would it be beneficial to use ICE water or not?

you are lacking moisture pour water in it and let it soak for an hour or so and mist it good and keep the RH up and you can do this with shrooms on the casing it wont hurt them i know for a fact it wont!!!!

no need for ice water and just tilt it and pour the water out a use the other hand so the casing wont flip out and no it will not fall apart!!!!
