What kinds of red wine do you guys favor? Any suggestions on what goes well with red sauce pasta dishes? Or any good food/wine pairings in general?

I personally favor Barbera's, Pinot Noir's, and mixtures like Cab-Shiraz, Cab-Merlot and Sirah/Syrah-Grenache blends.

Big, Bold REDS, lots of fruit, and heavy on the tannins. Shiraz at the front of the line. Australia's Penfolds Bin 389 a GREAT low cost grape. California Cabs, and some Oregon Pinots are nice.

Maybe some blackberry or clover wine, home-made?
