When smoking weed yes, It brings back the trip mildly for the next little while. I love it. Too bad I can't smoke because of probation anymore. Thats why I will probably be saving alot of my doses untill its over.

Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. In my passion for it I even carry it so far as to totally abstain from total abstinence itself.

This is without weed, and I would personally prefer no visual anomalies once the trip is over...

well this is jsut a guess, but if you do something on LSD, or see something while on LSD (or shrooms for that matter) and then in your regular life you see it, it can cause a mild flashback.

theres a story on erowid about a guy who took LSD and while on it was in a dark room with a green exit sign. when ever he sees a green exit sign, especially in a dark room, he gets a flashback. this is all like 30 years later.

I have more or less permanent effects from LSD, I say more or less because my longest gap of no usage was 4 years. Every once and a while I get little "swimmers" in my visual field, like little microbes or small organisms almost. They are generally bright white and out of the corner of my eye and when I move my head they are gone. I have experienced small flashbacks, I think you do LSD over 10 times or so and its gonna be a while before you never get anymore of those once in a while tracers etc.

That kind of artifact also appears in the visual field of people who have never taken LSD, you might have just never noticed them before. Those things that look like little stick and ball molecules or hairs or microorganisms, and kind of drift around on the eye...I've had those as long as I can remember.

Those are called floaters and they don't have anything to do with LSD.

Regarding floaters:
"Ophthalmologists believe that the shapes are shadows projected onto the retina by tiny structures of protein or other cell debris discarded over the years and trapped in the vitreous humour." -Wikipedia.

Almost everybody has them, it's just a natural part of vision. I would describe them as looking vaguely similar to clear chains of bacteria. Your interpretation may vary =)

I distinctly remember watching the floaters in my vision against a blue sky when I was about 5 years old. With the child-like sense of wonder at the world, I watched them with detached curiosity, but they never worried me. Funny how we become more concerned with little things as we age.
