Man I just opened up a bottle of sake.

Man it does not taste good.  I think the taste would complement rice and soy sauce type dishes well, but plain it sucks.  :thumbdown:

to me sake is very much like sushi... i like the taste, but it's too special for enjoying it daily... i have sushi + sake about twice a year...

and yeah, you gotta drink it warm... and it will leave you completely shitfaced

There are some sakes out there that are intended to be consumed chilled, but the specific japanese term for those eludes me at the moment. They have less of that paint thinner taste that hot sake does, but the hot stuff will light you up much faster.

i know about 2 months ago me and some friends had some peach sake which was to be consumed chilled... so we did and it actually tasted more like wine than sake... it was good stuff...
