Habitat: Lawn/horse dung
Gills : I'm unsure what is meant by the attachment of the gills but they do meet the stem up towards the cap.color is a light tan or white.
Stem: tan in color average length is about 4-6 inches
Cap : 2-3 in diameter, deep brown with a some what light brown ring, smooth/ slimy, edges are similar to a bottle cap because of wavy/curve's
spore print is currently being obtained
Strong mushroom smell
Br using is not visible at first but after a few hours out of the ground the bluing is very visible at the point where the mushroom was cut.
I believe these are p. weilii the light colored one was removed several hours before the rest now it is a light ghost blue all over.

Really? me too!
PM me if you want to go hunting some time. We're (Atl shroomers) organizing a trip for people from around Atlanta.
Those are some nice finds then. I was pretty sure those were Psilocybe weilii, Cobb county locale confirms it . It's realy lucky to find a weilii patch just before a hurricane. It's after the hurricanes that the weilii season explodes.

The print showed a dark brown/blackish print. There is a small patch of these guys at the end of my drive way. I've never seen them before in person. I some times hunt the ultra rare P. Atlantis that grows only here in GA. I find it up in Canton. If you don't mind going that far.

Actually wellie is only reported as growing in GA, from mid GA to northern GA. I swear I have found one lonley one in a lawn in upstate SC that blued but I got no pics, pictures do speak 1000 words!!!

I'd like to see pics of the supposed Ps. atlantis. They only grow in one patch in Fulton County that is known. Only LK and one other person have picked them.

Exactly.. Some weilii bruise right away, but there is this sub variety I've found that take up to two hours to show extreme bluing. And the potency does not seem to vary. One of the growing mysteries of this species. Just goes to show with these summer fruits it is perhaps the most versatile magic mushroom ever.

I was chased by haitians in the main city charlotte amalie when my girlfriend and I got some cocaine for free in a bar and mixed it with alcohol, to form a stronger drug. they generally look bigger earlier in the year but its weilii, id bet a million. They just look like giants of the ones I find

I havn't been to the spot for the atlantis this year.I'm not complety sure it is an atlantis but they have the tan color of cubes and weilii. Only the the cap is like a bell. I will get pics soon as I find them again.

whats up guys, im here in sandy springs. The past 2 years ive had 2 patches in the woods behind my house, but i havent seen any activity yet this year.
