Flushing PF Classic Cakes

Hi, I'm growing a PF cake right now. And I am wondering as to how I would go about "flushing" it exactly.

One idea I have in mind is to set it onto a clean new bed of perlite with distilled water. But what else should I do, as far as handling it, cleaning it, etc...

the double ended casing is a really good idea, seems to help massively.

don't bother changing your perlite every flush, it's unnecessary. just pick/scrape off all aborts, and you might also want to sit the cake directly on the perlite (if you havent already).
