Do you trust the coin? * 1

In the old testament it talks about casting lots and asking for divine answers. Many systems have developed, but a particularly interesting one is the coin flip. Can you ask a question of your fate, and flip a coin to truth? See, I'm a believer in that type of stuff, you direct your will to an intention, and see if it is right motive by will of 'the forces'. I could be delusional, I could be paranoid, and I could be wrong. That is why it sucks making a hard choice... risk verse reward... can the picture in my mind reflect the outcome?
Or, is this chunk of silver just that, and I delusional.

Trust your instint, or concience or whatever.
Unless its usually wrong. Than just go with what the coin says.

What if my instinct tells me the coin was true, but I knew that all along... That is why it's dangerous, to trust yourself, because so many factors can sway your plan.

hell yeah! I leave lots of decisions to coin tosses! And it really works, because if it tells me to do something and I'm like "man, I wish it didn't land that way" i just won't do it because I know for sure how I feel after having a decision made for me.

The truth is, that a coin toss is a great way to make decisions if you're unsure because not only does it rest on fate, but it can help you be more sure of what you actually want.

why on earth would flipping a coin be some sort of all-knowing method of decision-making? It is a piece of metal and has a 50/50 chance of landing on either side - whatever side it lands on means nothing (other than the meaning that you attach to it).

yes, you are delusional
and no, I do not trust the coin.

I wouldn't trust a coin flip with any kind of important decision making, that's just silly.
Though I used to have a similar method for making decisions with a d20 when I was apathetic as to what to do. I've never done this to make important decisions, but when I can't decide between chinese or mexican for dinner, it can be a nice time saver.

I dunno - I'm really superstitious I suppose. I just tend to consider the good and the bad points of any two choices, and go with the one I feel is best.....

usualy, if you have a coin heads up then flip it, it will be tails up when you flip it over to yoru other hand... usualy... so you've got a better chance of it landing your way if you do the opposite of which way it's facing...

Coins aren't accurate enough; I make all my important life dicisions with a Ouija Board.

Thats awesome!

This is a very cool thread, and you got to it before i ever could have.

You know, a good friend of mine uses the coin flip quite often in questions of fate and long term.

He hates it how the coin was always in my favor, haha. Or was it?
Hehehehehe.

Anyways, we have been starnded in the middle of america, sitting in forests, with nothing to bind us but eachother, and that frickin coin.

You wouldnt believe the weight set on that piece of silver.

And the sighs of semi relief, knowing at least that problems been solved.

Next.

A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.

The coin works man. I chose the coin to see whether I would take a sick day at work a few days ago and it said yes and I loved my day off!

so that means coin = pwns

I googled the term and it was the same result- but it made me realize that life is just a temporary place for the eternal.

Because the flipper already knows the outcome of the coin toss even if goes against his bet.

It's the old tune of flipping the same sided coin-0---

and then having it land om it's side.( the other side)- And seeing that no coin has sides

no life can be defined,
