I know its probably just opinion but I was wondering which method was better... the PF Tek or ShroomWizards Tek? And if possible why?
Edit: Forgot to mention I'm brand new to this. I'm just now planning out what I'm gonna do for my first grow. Trying to figure out how much this is gonna cost me and what I'll need. Thanks in advance!

The BEST thing to do is read all the teks here, then figure out which one will work best for YOU. After your first successful grow try to incorporate the best(or most appealing) aspects of the other teks into your next grow. Remember that in this hobby patience is a virtue... if not THE virtue.
Also remember that the Shroomery is here at YOUR disposal...

I like ShroomWizards cause its cheaper and overall seems easier except it involves casing which I've seen some people say isn't good for beginners, plus it seems less sterile. Maybe I'll try his and just put the pans in a rubbermaid container for a bit of extra humidity. Its the one that appeals most to me. Thanks for your input its hugely appreciated!!!!

If u can make a cake u can make a casing, its a peice of cake :P
Do a search for hypae's pinning strategy and u wont have a problem.

Have you read PF TEK for the Simple Minds?
I like that one. It was pretty easy.

Yeah I've read all the cake teks and most of the casing teks. Casing didn't seem at all complicated but since I had seen someone on the message board saying beginners shouldn't do it I kinda shied away from that. Hmmm maybe I will do the casing methods then instead since the general consensus is that you get more potency and better yields. You guys are great! Very quick to reply and no elitist crap. I truly owe you guys a big thank you!!!
Edit: I just read another post that said ShroomWizards method is fine if you live in a humid area like him. I don't though I live in Washington so I guess I was right I would need to use a terrarium or rubbermaid container. I feel like I'm starting to understand this stuff pretty well. Hopefully I'll have the spare cash to start on this project soon!

After reading the Hyphae's pinning strategy I believe I know what I'm gonna do, now I just gotta get all the stuff I need and start growing! Thank god theres a site like this and people willing to help like you guys! Oh and one more question I see alot people mentioning using hydrogen peroxide in the water for the shrooms. Doesn't it hurt the shrooms at all?

it will kill spores but if you use it to mist your good. just dont use h2o2 untill your fruiting.

I have seen hundreds of people fail using the ShroomWizards tek over the years.
only a hand full of people have been successful using the ShroomWizards tek.

My 1st grows where casings of PF Tek for simple minds cakes, my second set of grows where PF or WBS spawned to poo, and I'm just trying my first cakes now (WBS).. If you read enough, and are careful, casings are NOT that hard..

Are the benefits of casings definetly worth the little extra risk? Cause I'm willing to take them since it seems after your done casing things are easier than if your just fruiting from cakes.

None of my casings ever contamed, if you can follow directions, and trust your judgement, then the little extra risk is nullified, if you are not sure of you abilities/discipline, then go with what's easiest..
