need species ID'd
    #438842 - 10/27/01 09:50 PM (15 years, 1 month ago)

I found this on a trail in the woods by my house. They grew in tall grass. What do you think it is? Is it active?

Not Panaeolus. Looks very conocybeish to me...

Did it stain blue? If not, toss it out... Its no good.

Just out of curiosity.. What color was the spore print and where are you from?

Peace out,
-Gumby

I looks to be a woodland Mycena. It should have white spores and it is definately not active and not a Psilocybe. The bluing is in your mind.

I think those are mycenas like workman said, look a likes grow where i live. They do have a blueish/greyish color but they do not bruise blue.
BTW, cardboard : "is this a cubensis ?" , why the hell are you asking that for ? LOL

Peace,
MAIA
