are you a fucking idiot? the best of it?!?!? you call a category 4 hurricane with 150mph sustained winds with gusts up to 175mph a blessing???? it hasnt even hit the gulf yet and its as strong as Andrew was in the 90's........ i can only hope that your "blessing" goes somewhere else and not the panhandle AGAIN, and im sure if you went through 2 strong hurricanes as i did last year this thread wouldnt exist right now.

yes i agree rain is the next best thing to pussy, but for him to say that a violent storm like this that will destroy many peoples livelyhoods is a blessing? im sorry but thats pure ignorance, maybe since he wants it so bad itll make a little turn right towards alabama, he can have the destruction and depression. sorry ihaveacow but i get all riled up about shit like that.... destruction is not a blessing, especially to the people in the panhandle that still havent recovered from last years canes'.

i was in boynton for andrew, and i took TWO direct hits last year..... everyone remember the two storms that made landfall within a mile of each other.... of course you do, well i live within 5 miles of that very spot, so yea its upsetting hearing someone say something like that after seeing firsthand the devastation, i mean for christ's sake, alot of ppl havent even finished fixing their houses yet.... im glad someone feels the same way i do wildbill.

yea deff i was kinda young then shit was traumatizing, and what scares me is this is supposed to be the worst season ever and for fuck sake we had a storm already befor season started this year. se we can only pray

Hurricane Season!
If your in the path you better get the hell outa the way with this kind of storm... It will do nothing but grow tell it hits land...
Our water temps in the gulf off "HIGH ISLAND" is round 94 to 96 deg...
I love this time of year about as much as I hate it!

I am in Charlotte county where Charley hit, just now got the roof finished from damages almost a year ago. We are getting hammered right now with squalls from Dennis. It is much needed rain though, not just for the mushies
I just hope for the sake of SW Florida, that that storm keeps moving west.

yeah def. not a great experience..i went through andrew in miramar...def. a horrible time..no electricity for a week. but us SE floridians got it lucky..so pick up guys...anygoing to see charlie and the chocolate factory..at an imax trippin??? me and wildbill will be visiting that. i cant wait thats what im picking for tomorw.

yeah rain is good but what the hell man, its not a blessing. that was a pretty shitty choice of words. you couldve said "oh i hope noone gets hurt from dennis while im tearing up the field", or something somewhat sympathetic, sorry if im an asshole when someone doesnt really think before they open their mouth.

well it is already 'shroom' season in the southeast. But, hurricanes actually tend to halt mushroom production. I think it might have something to do with the high winds.
hurricanes actually slow shroom production down a good-bit. !it sounds strange but ive found it to be true.

well im no scientist but i would assume that 100-150mph winds cant be too good for a field.... prolly shocks the hell out of the mycelium. not to mention like last year when we had 3 hurricanes drop ungodly amounts of water in an already flooded terrain, mycelium dies not long after 48 hours of being completely submerged right greatone?

I'm pretty sure hurricanes halt mushroom production not because of the wind but because of flooding in the fields... Mushrooms won't pin underwater... I'm pretty sure they need oxygen to spring up.
