Does anyone reuse their perlite?

I was wondering if anyone reuses their perlite and if it that big of a hassle? Can it be reused for ever? I can always go out a buy another bag but why waste money if the old stuff is still good if I dry it out in the oven, right?

I have re-used my perlite in the past.
I just put it in a large container and add some bleachy water...and let it soak.
then rinse it out really good.

No need to dry in the oven or anything like that either. It is a hassle, but only cause you have to use perlite, which in general is a hassle IMO Buying a new bag and rinsing it well is just as big a hassle, if not more, plus money.

Thanks guys. It's going to be a couple of weeks until I need to use it again cause I need to get my other jars colonized. If I just have the wet perlite laying around will it be fine? can I just put it in a bag or something and let it sit? I can't let it sit in my rubbermade cause I need to use that for the incubator for my new jars. Could I incubate the jars with the perlite in the incubator? Oh and by the way, how neccesary is it to sterilize my fruiting chamber before putting new cakes in? What amount of bleach should I put in the water to sterilize?

I do the bleach soak also and do it in a 5gal. bucket. I then scoop it out with a strainer and rinse then dump it all into a pillowcase and hang it up on a nail, it dries in no time or if I'm ready to use it immediately in goes into service. 1/4 cup per 5gal. bucket is what I use.

Well if left in the open sporeloaded air it won't be very sterile but it's up to you you'll be disinfecting it with h2o2 or iodine in the water you'll be adding anyway.
