a Perfect Circle's 'Amotion' remix cd

there are a few songs on this cd, namely the '3 Libras' remixes, that really move me.
i never really liked the original Libras song too much. i mean it's obviously a high quality presentation but it just seemed too "songy" for the real emotion of it to get through to me.
the remixes however put the song in a new light. the vocals are far removed, they sound as if they are hauntingly echoing through vast spaces-lost in the melancholic soundscape. bits and pieces of the words rise up and then fall back down as the rhythm pushes and pulses onward.
basically i just think it's beautiful.

They're all awesome, but some kind of change the meaning of the song. Well I guess that's awesome too .

First 3 tracks blew my mind wide open. I was really high, practically tripping off my first smoke of some high quality bud after a week long break.
I had great realizations of the value of negative space in music, and how well it is utilized in those particular songs.
I was talking crazy talk mostly, but I was undeniably onto something regarding the nature of music and how it is perceived by humans...
I was having metaphorical visualizations relating the wave-form to a wave in water... the crest--the cracking "edge" of the wave that hits hard--is nothing compared to the power welled up in the negative space behind the wave's perceived edge.
I felt as though each instrument's contribution to a song was kind of "dancing around" the negative space, instead of attempting to take the "lead" FROM the negative space.
Boards of Canada has a lot of songs that seem to be structured similarly.
...and other crazy talk.
There's probably a name for what I'm talking about... but I don't know what it is.
Edit: Oh.. I mean... yeah, I liked that CD.

There are 2 discs. aMOTION and Emotive, the former being remixed APC tracks and the latter being mostly covers.

At first I didn't like that CD because it was so "off", after I listened to it more I loved it! It really sheds new light on the songs, just great.
