first pod harvest
    #4381305 - 07/07/05 07:45 PM (18 years, 8 months ago)

well, my floral arrangement supplies are hanging to dry.
i only took the ripe ones, cut them at about one or two leaves down.  i would have let them dry on the plant but im afraid somebody might try to use them for opium. and that's illegal.
i left the unripened pods there, i immagine at the end, if nobody lances them up or tramples them, i will have 4 time this from the same patch, and even more from my garden.

somebody was driving by my garden fence very slowly today eyeing my poppies.  the nigrums in my garden are almost finished, evrything else has yet to hook, the nigrums bloom early.  it seemed the guy was in his late 30s early 40s, had a proffessional haircut, got startled when i spotted him, feigned a wave then drove away.
personally i think he was a cop checking to see if i was lancing pods.  heh, good thing i don't.  it wouldm really suck getting charged with a schedule one production.
being a new father and all, the last thing i need is to spend life in jail.
so basically if anybody asks me about the potency of these pods all i can do is guess. as these, as you can see how they are unlanced and in arranging legnth, are for floral stuff.
heres a pic of them in the feild.
notice how some are green and some are whitish blue-green,
i ONLY harvest the latter.  they might yet get bigger, but they look good.

some of the plants in my garden are wilting or falling over,  but most are doing well, many look like they will be larger and more productive than the jhonny poppyseed plants above.

heres an example of ripe pods. you dont want to pick them younger than these for any reason. i picked them the day after a heavy rain. if youre hoping for opium, you will want to pick them after an extended dry period.

Someone Who Isn't namaste

Strange, I ate two grams finely powdered mixed with honey, there wasn't very much euphoria except while lifting weights and doing crunches.  I have chronic pain from compartment syndrome and surgery, But I'm still pain-free 20 hours later!

IMHO, two of my small pods are equal to about 5 vicodins w/o tolerance.  Added benefit, none of the crappy pharmasuitical side effects.  And much added endurence in the sack

Don't forget your grapefruit juice.

And People, Please, set some Freakin' Limits and Stick to them!

particularly itching, persitant nausea, disorientation, and worst of all withdraw.

See I didn't experience any itching or nausea, and found the disorientation to be quite pleasant.

It's always good to be paranoid. Although, are you saying that snipping and drying poppy pods is legal here in the US, even if it is of a papaver, and for floral arrangements only? Really nice plants! You are very lucky... sweet pictures.

far as i know floral arranging is still tolerated. if youre not making opium.

im really in a bad mood tho, tonight me and a friend touched some gasoline we found, then we cane home and apparently we reek of gas and it stunk up the house.
that sucks
