im not rich.

just had money saved up for a new street bike decided to buy used and save a shitload. plus its better to spend the money in a bong than 1,0000 for plastic fairings for a new bike when i drop the bike.

roor bongs are very nice. not worth 1000 dollars in my opinion, maybe 250. a friend of mine recently acquired a glass on glass bong with a four stem diffuser piece that hits astoundingly well. It was bought from a glass blower and was 200 dollars, well worth it. So if you see a guy with these around the festival scene this summer, snap one up.

No offense intended. Paying that much for something like that would just go against my grain. You ought to save a bit of that in case you hit hard times, though. You never know when you might really need it...

I have a friend that has an $800 pipe. It is worth every penny, even just as an art peice.
The bong you just showed, is crap. Sure it may be thick, may be fine and precise sealing, but that bong is definatly not worth 1000, i wouldnt even drop 100 on that bong.
Stoney creek, which is out of business now, i think, made some of the most incredible bongs, which were still only priced at 300-500.
Im not saying it is dumb to spend 1k on a bong, i want to one day buy myself a very nice peice in the 500 range, but dont go dropping a grand on a POS bong like that.

i dont know why someone would spend 1000 on a production line piece...

someone said german scientific glass.. well, i got my german 'scientific' glass for the same price (actualy it was cheaper cause i got a case.)

my brother paid 500 for this piece in venice a few years ago...





the glass on glass... well, they have this stuff you can pick up at michaels and do glass etching with it... it gives you the glass on glass seal... but you would have to have it the right size pieces to put in it.... like molded perfectly.. wouldnt be hard after you got the mold.

If I were to get another ROOR, I would get a custom American ROOR because then you can get percolators added in the tube, an option I do not think you can get on the german ones. $1000 bucks and no perc, no thanks. Its nice but you are just paying a rediculous amount for the silver logo and ruby, and in all honesty I think the sandblasted logos are nicer. I just ordered a couple custom blue dots im still waiting to come in.

You don't really need to etch anything, all you need to do is get a downstem with a glass joint, put a rubber grommet on it and put it in place of your regular slider downstem. Sure it wont be totally glass on glass but it gets the job done.

i like the scietific glass, with the ground slide. Why buy wone when with a lot of practice i could just make it. tell you the truth for 1000 im more into an art peace.

how could you say its a piece of crap the silver and ruby stone alone cost more than 100 and its still a RooR they have better quality control than most glass blowers, but sure its not worth 1000. and like i said i already have custom art pieces(a quad) and dont really like the fully worked bongs/tubes because i like to see the white smoke go up them. So whether im getting this or not I will still get a RooR. custom Roor with ruby or custom roor with no ruby is whats killing me ill never decide. might have to do the coin flip

btw i forgot to add that price includes a colored section like the one in this one.

No way. Why spend $1000 for a bong? You could probably make a bong as good at hitting as that one out of different materials for a small fraction of the price.

dude just rip that shit in a glass pipe and save your fucking money..I would spend that much on weed before I would spend that much on a smoking device,,,:lol:..I would have more weed to smoke I would thank myself later besides...there are ghetto ways to make bongs and they work just as good...

My very first hit ever was out of a roor, and it's the best quality hit money can buy (from the bong standpoint anyway). I find that when you spend the extra money on things you are usually thankful in the end. That is a nice piece, and if I had the money, I'd totally drop it. Not that I'll ever have the money :wink:

I can tell you that if and when I ever buy my own piece, it will be a roor, no questioins.

There's a bong at my local headshop like that, but way fuckin' better.  It has the perculator and everything. It's only 249.99 for the big one (it's like 2.5 feet tall) and like 179.99 for the small one (like 1.5 feet tall) 
It's a brand name to, something with an X in it...

It's got all sorts of fancy shit in the chamber and shit...

California has low proces on their glassware, unlike Michigan where I recently moved from...

I'd still want a Zong over that bong any day...  God I want a Zong... :smile:
