sox24...I only said it because it was so cliche of a response to a post like that, haha.
But I don't know if I believe it either. When on shrooms or salvia, it really feels like you are getting in touch with something so familiar. Plus I think we are all connected with the Earth, thus all knowledge in society is connected through the Earth...so in some metaphysical way, maybe we really do know.

among my polyphrenic identities, any individual one of us knows very little indeed; while series and sequences of me's are fairly flash.
the individual selves are developing better "meshing together": responding with interest, intimacy and detatchment. they don't stick around long enough to have much useful knowledge beyond that.

Dr., I feel urged to reply, because you hit my heart with this.
As Gomp stated, I would say 'most you know, is what you percieve'.
In contradiction to that, the basic evolutionary-built strucutures of mind, the fundamental genetic rules about 'how' you percieve are often interfering with the knowledge of 'what' someone percieves. Also the 'how' is a part of 'directness' of information (seen it self, or reading about it ? Manipulated videos ? What way of proof ?)
So the 'what' and 'how' of perception build the base of 'knowledge', primarily.
Edit: I allways say: The latest moment you know that there is a wall is, when it will smash your nose.
Edit2: But the sparkeling and multiple 'hows' make the 'what' a more clear and reasonable subject of 'knowledge'
