hike MUSHROOM MAINIA + ID Large PNW Mushroom

When driving home from 4th of july party (acually july 1st) We spotted a very large mushroom on the side of the road
a. Pacific North West growing in dirt on side of road (forested) b. Gills white, i think they're attached (but to what, i don't quite understand the attached not attached gill thing c. cap=hand span stem= 4 inches d. stem was very strong e. cap looked like one of a shaggy main f. Spore print color was white g. n/a

A few days later I went on a hike and found scores of mushrooms...

some sort of Boletus




kinda looks active but not

interesting moss

summited peak (me on top)

my bro

what a great hike! anyone having luck finding actives in the PNW?

It looks like some sort of Lepiota, staining is usually a key to identifying these. Your boletus actually looks more like a polypore mushroom, they both have pores but boletes are more spongy and polypores are tougher.
Is that Mt Si? Looks like an awesome hike.

the one in the first pic might be a type of Lepiota or maybe Macrolepiota..

Walking to the post office yesterday I ran into two different patches of blue ringers. But the best season isn't going til October. If you don't mind me asking, what peak is that in your picture?
