Orange!?!

Found in woods about 50' from creek, growing at base of a hickory tree. The tree was not dead. *Weird* Any Idea what this is?

Looks like you have Laetiporus sulphureus "Chicken of the Woods", or one of it's close relatives.. check out this link http://www.bluewillowpages.com/mushroomexpert/laetiporus_sulphureus.html
Note that some varieties have white pore surfaces. The specimens that I find on the east coast are white underneath.

i found one of those this morning actually althogh mine was alittle more in depth color, i didnt keep it, just bored, found some boletes also, aminitas

GOOD FIND though, props~!
