Live in East TN by the Smokey Mtn National Park any advice on where and when to look?

Hi all just joined board and am about on week 2 on first grow... everything is looking peachy except one jar that cracked.

Anyway, I've made it a habbit to go check my normal field spots in the horse/cow pasture beside my house... Having trouble finding anything except weird little white mushies. It just rained for like 2 days here and may not rain again for a couple weeks... I was wondering if anyone had any experience or advice regarding finding these sneaky guys. For example: Where to look, When to look, What items to check thoroughly (haybails that are rotting, under pine trees, or in just open field), and if there is a better chance in the mountain area seeing as how it is much more moist and damp, but less cow pastures. well i meant right after the rain stops lol.. not right this second :P

Good Luck.. remember try multiple fields.. i searched 3 for months then went to a 4th and Gold Mine.. Look for small fields with lotsa cows for the fields size
