When I saw it in theaters right after the start of the movie, 3 girls left and dragged their boyfriends with them.

I like them both

-------------------- A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.

I think 2 is better although both of them are great as a whole. I just prefer the story over the violence.

Really? I thought the first one was much better. The second one didnt live up to the hype. They could have made the ending much better IMO. It was still a great movie though.

Part 2 is even better. There's a sword fight scene in a tiny trailer home that's the best choreographed and most hilarious fight I've ever seen in a movie. The soundtrack is pretty cool too.

Vol. 1 was just full of a ton of unanswered questions and meaningless violence. It is in vol 2 that you find out why she is doing what she is doing and how it came to be that way. I'm just not all about vol 1.
As a whole movie, vol 1 serves it's purpose, but if you are to seperate vol 1 and 2 from each other as individual movies, then vol 2 is the better movie hands doiwn. Vol. 1 has no plot. It's just all killing a whole lot of motherfuckers.

I have them both as well. After quite some time owning just pirated copies, IK finally decided to buy them both.
