Help w/ potency

For some reason the potency of my dried mushrooms are significantly less than fresh, and also significantly less that dried shrooms from your friendly neighborhood dealer. Can anyone tell me why? I fan dry in the dark, then dry to a crisp w/ dessicant also in the dark. Could it be the strain? They were Treasure Coasts. Does anyone have any proven methods of increasing potency? I appreciate any input. Thanks.

It sounds like you dried them correctly. Could the problem be all in your head? I mean, how long did you wait between trips?

Try adding some more ingredients into the substrate, like flax, and amaranth... ground of course, mix this into your BRF, couldnt hurt.

Shit, I dont know what else to say but maybe try a different strain........ grow on birdseed, I've never tried the 'treasure coast'

if your using flour, use dark rye flour instead of BRF, also try some manure in there too :) my puertos are lovin it.

Im growing on birdseed cased with organic compost. Everyone that I give them to has been telling me that they are weak. Its possible that they just aren't eating enough. I'll just have to try a different strain.

Ive heard about adding tryptamines or something to the substrate. Does anybody know if this works or know where I can get some without raising any suspicion?

order some desmanthus illinoesis root (mantis root) bark from some place like www.herbal-shaman.com - there is a tek here on the shroomery that tells what to do with it, but the mixture is rather non-specific... i mean, they don't tell you how much of the extract to add to the cakes, they just tell you how much in ratio to the vermiculite.. i don't know if they are using the pf recipe for substrate or their own tho... if anyone can clear that up, it'd help a lot, i'm in the process of trying it myself as soon as i get a little cash for the root bark (if i remember correctly, it goes for something like $45 for 160 grams - and you're probably going to use about that much per 12 jars - though this could be a wild guess) there is 'supposedly' a way to do it with spoiled milk solids too, but again, i dont' know the correct ratios. (the reason this is important is that if you add too much the shrooms will actually be weaker.) - i also wonder if it's the same sort of trip, or if it is changed chemically somehow....
