Adding hydrated lime to peat... question about PC'ing
    #4373063 - 07/05/05 07:41 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

Alright... So I've read around and saw one post that said you should sterilize your peat BEFORE adding the hydrated lime... Is this correct? Or does it not matter? I'd like to get everything mixed up (peat w/ raised pH mixed with verm), and then pressure cook it. Would this be a problem?

Mix everything up first, then pressure cook or microwave. I microwave everything after I mix it up and it works like a charm.
