I found these beautiful specimens on an old hay bail where I have been finding Pan subbs this year. Despite some reports to the contrary, Panaeolus campanulatus is not an active species. Check out the fly in the second photo.

  :mushroom2:

What are the difference between those and Panaeolus subbalteatus, thickness of stem? Just wondering.

The primary ID characteristic for this species is the bell shaped cap with veil remnants on the edge, along with the long slender stem. Check my post on Hay bail Pan subbs. I tried to add some details to answer the questions that you and others have been asking about that species lately.
