casing question

assuming that the substrate layer is approximatly 1" thick, how big of a casing tray would be sufficient for casing the contents of a small mycobag? also. so many teks, so many casing layers to choose from, im thinking about just using sterilizer verm. is this a bad idea for a first case?

just straight verm....im sure 1/2 to3/4 of an inch would be good enough

your sub layer is pretty small....you should spawn to some poo and then case!

IMHO, 45% peat, 45% Verm & 10% coir (ph adjusted with oyster shell flour) is the OPTIMAL casing mixture.

In your shoes, 60% chunky Vern & 40% coir - would IMHO be way better than straight Verm casing.
